A message counts as delivered when it reaches the recipient’s mailbox. Test messages are padded and routed exactly like real ones, and are sent between measurement clients run by Frothly in every region.
Relays out of service
Individual relays come and go every day, and clients route around them automatically. 17 relays are offline and 4 are down for maintenance, out of 1,124 in the directory.
Scheduled
No maintenance is scheduled. Windows are announced in the apps and on this page at least three weeks in advance.
Relays running relay software 3.9.4 will be removed from the directory on Apr 14, 2027, when support for Glossia 3.x ends. On that date 4.0 clients will stop accepting 3.x handshakes.

Delayed message delivery in East Asia
A relay in our Chiba data center failed during a routine restart. Traffic was rerouted automatically, and messages were delivered late but intact.
