What happened
The relay directory is published every hour and signed by at least five of nine independent signers. On April 21 a fault in the signing service stopped three consecutive directories from collecting enough signatures. Clients are designed to keep using a directory for up to twenty-four hours, so nobody noticed except the people who watch for exactly this.
