Connection flood against entry relays in Europe

Entry relays in Europe received a flood of connection attempts. Clients moved to less loaded relays and delivery slowed by a few seconds.

What happened

For three hours and forty minutes, entry relays in Europe received many times their normal number of connection attempts. Clients detected the slow responses and moved to less loaded entry relays, as they are designed to. Delivery slowed by a few seconds for some people; no relay was compromised, and the flood could not have revealed anything about who uses Glossia.

Several partner operators added capacity during the event. We thank them.
