About this relay
Added to the Chiba data center after Typhoon Faxai in September 2019, so that the site could lose any one relay without slowing delivery.
As an entry relay, it is the first stop for people who connect through it. It sees their network address, but not who they are writing to or what they say. As a transit relay, it passes messages between other relays, and sees only where each one came from and where it goes next. As a mailbox relay, it holds encrypted messages until their recipients collect them, and deletes each one once it has been collected, or after thirty days.
It is in service and carrying traffic.
