Glossia Lite

A smaller client for older phones and expensive data, used most in places where both are common.

What it does

  • Text and voice notes, encrypted end to end
  • Groups of up to 250 people
  • Uses as little as a fifth of the data of the full client
  • Disappearing messages and travel mode
  • Bridges for networks that block the relay network

Where it comes from

From the official app store, and passed phone to phone by people who have it: Lite checks its own signature before it will run.

Release history

  1. Glossia 4.0. The post-quantum handshake adds about 2.3 KiB to the first message of each new conversation, and nothing after that.

  2. The final 3.x release. Security fixes.
